Why Vietnam Spring Tea Production Drops in 2025

1. What is spring tea?

Spring tea is the first flush of tea buds in the year, characterized by a rich flavor, vibrant green color, and refreshing aroma that delights not only tea farmers and processors but also tea enthusiasts. Although the yield is not as high as during the main harvest, this tea, especially early spring, is the finest and most valuable of the year. After a period of pruning and rest, the tea plants concentrate their nutrients to produce the very first tender buds.

The main features of tea include a bright golden-yellow color, a rich and fresh aroma reminiscent of new rice, and a tea liquor that becomes clearer and greener with each steep, leaving a lingering sweetness. Once you experience this tea, the impression of its flavor is unforgettable.
